The theme of this international break so far had been “injuries”, but two games tonight are changing that.
Ross Barkley scored twice for England and got an assist, while Olivier Giroud has just scored for France against Turkey. That’s his second in two games for his country after he netted a penalty at the weekend.
N’Golo Kante is on the bench, which is a real relief for us. Giroud’s not going to be getting many minutes for us, so this is great to see. It will hopefully keep him sharp and in good form so that when we need him he’s ready to slot in and replace Tammy.
