“I will make changes” – Confirmed Chelsea injury and team news to face Manchester United

Chelsea are gearing up to face Manchester United in the Carabao Cup tomorrow evening at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues will be hoping to avenge their 4-0 defeat to United earlier this season in the 8.05pm kick off tomorrow night.

Since then though, Chelsea have flipped their season on it’s head and have won the last 7 games in a row in all competitions, so confidence will be high.

Frank Lampard still has a number of injuries to contend with and has been providing the latest Chelsea team news in front of the cameras in his pre-match press conference today.

Both sides could opt to use a number of the younger and fringe players in their squads in order to give other key players a rest.

Lampard has players like Jorginho and Cesar Azpilicueta who have already played a lot of minutes and could do with a rest.

And Lampard has confirmed that the game will be a chance for those who aren’t playing as regularly.

As reported by Goal’s Chelsea correspondent Nizaar Kinsella, Lampard said:

“This game may be an opportunity for players who are not playing. This is not to do with age.

“Kante and Rudiger both not ready to play versus United though.”

“I did want to play every game. The beauty of seeing it on this side is you see it differently and see the bigger picture. You have to see the demand on the players.

“I will make changes.”
