Back 4 returns, Mount and Kovacic back in – Predicted Chelsea Xl to face Arsenal

Chelsea make the short trip to face Arsenal tomorrow in their final match of 2019 as we approach the end of a decade.

The Blues will be hoping to turn around a 2-0 defeat against Southampton last time out in the 2pm kick off tomorrow.

Chelsea’s season has continued to stutter and show concerning inconsistencies despite them still being placed 4th in the league, but the chasing pack are now breathing heavily down their necks.

Frank Lampard has some major decisions to make tomorrow. Will he stick with the 3 at the back and use 3-4-3 formation again?

Or will he revert back to the more familiar 4-3-3, or 4-2-3-1, as he did when things weren’t going to plan against Southampton this week?

I believe that we will see a 4-2-3-1 formation with Mason Mount returning to the starting line up, as well as the welcome return for the suspended Mateo Kovacic.

Predicted Chelsea Xl to face Arsenal (4-2-3-1) –

Kepa, Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Tomori, Emerson. Kovacic, Kante. Pulisic, Mount, Willian. Abraham.
