Chelsea focusing on improving one area in particular in January

We are approaching the week of the January transfer window, with it officially opening next Wednesday.

Chelsea are expected to be active with reinforcements looking to be brought in to help Frank Lampard calm down a so far pretty inconsistent season.

The last two matches say it all about how things are going for Lampard and his team so far this season. They went to a Jose Mourinho led Tottenham and beat them 2-0 in their own back yard putting in a great performance.

Then a week later they lose 2-0 at home to Premier League strugglers Southampton. It’s how this baffling season has pretty much panned out so far and Lampard knows he needs to add quality.

The Telegraph claim that the quality he is focusing on adding is attacking wide players and forwards, in their article yesterday focusing on the lack of creativity they have since Eden Hazard left the club in the summer.

They mention Wilfried Zaha, Jadon Sancho, Leon Bailey, Samuel Chukwueze and strikers Timo Werner and Moussa Dembele as their targets.
