Chelsea have ‘renewed their interest’ in signing 22-year old Atletico Paranaense midfielder Bruno Guimaraes, according to The Daily Mail.
They claim that Chelsea have sent scouts to watch the Brazilian under-23 international a number of times, and are interested in making a move to sign him.
They state that there is also interest from Benfica, Atletico Madrid and Arsenal for his services.
Guimaraes is a highly rated talent who is receiving plaudits around the globe for his all round midfield play.
He is technically gifted on the ball, athletic, robust, and full of energy.
Chelsea are fairly stacked in his position right now though, and with the usual work permit issues you would get from directly trying to sign a player playing in Brazil, this could be some kind of deal to sign him and loan him out for six months.
But that is of course merely me just speculating.
He is a name that is continued to be linked with Chelsea though, so it’s worth keeping an eye on.
