Chelsea talent linked with PSG makes senior debut for Blues

Chelsea had several absences for this game, with Marcos Alonso among those not featuring on the bench.

That meant when Emerson was hauled off after just 30 minutes down the left, Cesar Azpilicueta was forced to cover for him, with Fikayo Tomori playing at right back.

As the second half wore on, Frank Lampard clearly wanted some more attacking influence on that side, and so turned to 19 year old Tariq Lamptey for his debut.

The attacking right back has been forgotten a bit because of the impact of Reece James, but he’s been a youth team star for years, in particular this season.

That’s lead to interest from PSG in signing the talent, whose contract runs out this summer. GFFN reported as such just a couple of months ago.

Maybe this taste of first team action will be what convinces him to sign a new deal? It would be a massive loss, even just financially speaking, to see him walk for nothing.
