Two of them are down to injury. According to Simon Johnson, Christian Pulisic because he picked up a little hamstring problem warming down after the Southampton game. It’s a real shame as he would be due a start now for sure.
Reason Pulisic is not involved for Chelsea today is because he suffered a hamstring injury running/training after the Southampton game. It's precautionary at this stage.

Marcos Alonso is also not featured, with Nizaar Kinsella of Goal.com saying that he was told by Lampard after the last game that he was carrying a muscle injury. Whether it’s connected to a potential move next month we’ll have to see.

Olivier Giroud is not in the squad at all, with Tammy Abraham starting up front and Michy Batshuayi on the bench. That probably precedes a January exit after barely playing.
Pedro is also not in the squad, having played as a sub on Sunday. This also looks like the end of the road for him at Chelsea as well.
