Nathan Ake is reportedly under consideration of Frank Lampard and whether he wants to bring the former Chelsea player back to Stamford Bridge, according to a recent report via The Telegraph.
They say that Lampard will assess the form and fitness of Antonio Rudiger before making any decisions on whether to trigger a reported £40 million buyback option for the Bournemouth defender, which of course Ake will have to want the move as well.
It is a possible pursuit that has once again been causing pretty much a 50/50 split of opinions amongst some Chelsea fans on social media.
Some believe that it would be a no brainer to bring him back for £40 millions, whilst others believe he is no better than what the club already have and they should be looking at world class options.
Ake has become a hugely important defender for Bournemouth, so they will be hoping that he decides to stay with them whether Chelsea make a move or not.
