Roma have Davide Zappacosta on loan, but the defender has been seriously injured since very early in his spell in the Italian capital.
He’s already missed almost all of the season so far, but the Roman club are keen to extend his temporary stay longer, so that they can use him once he’s back from his problems.
That’s according to reliable ITK on Twitter, Carefree Youth.

It would make sense for him to stay. He’s remained in Italy to do his physio and recovery anyway, and the Italian side still need a player in his position when he’s back.
Hopefully he can return sometime in the New Year and work his way back up to fitness gradually, playing a decent amount before the end of the season and opening the door for a permanent move, either to Roma or to another Serie A club.
That seems like the best solution for everyone – let’s hope it works out that way.
