Callum Hudson-Odoi had been receiving some criticism of his recent performances so far this season after coming back from injury.
It’s only natural that after such a serious injury and time out that a player takes time to find his feet and confidence again, and Hudson-Odoi had absolutely been struggling with that.
As a result he has been mainly used as a substitute by Frank Lampard who has been easing him back into the fray.
Now after a few lacklustre showings off the bench, today Hudson-Odoi looked a lot sharper and a lot more like the player who was one of Chelsea’s biggest attacking threats last season and the player who got capped at senior England level at the age of 18.
It’s been refreshing to scroll Twitter and read some better comments about the 19-year old after he helped Chelsea beat Arsenal 2-1 in their own backyard after being 1-0 down in the first half.
An absolute step in the right direction today for Hudson-Odoi. Looked much more like himself. pic.twitter.com/DWMFOibGRj

Hudson-Odoi changed the entire game but I haven’t heard a peep.

Finishing the decade with a win at Arsenal where Abraham, Tomori, Mount, Hudson-Odoi and Lamptey help to get the job done.
Happy New Year.

I think that Callum Hudson Odoi is on the good path to get back in form. Can’t wait for us to have a DECENT leftback. pic.twitter.com/h0D46ZYuh4
