A striker is always measured on goals, but beyond that’s it’s key to know how important those goals were.
We’ve had plenty of strikers – see Didier Drogba – who were not always the most prolific, but scored in finals and in big games against our rivals. The kind of games that define seasons.
Tammy Abraham scored the winner against Arsenal at the weekend, adding two points to the total he’s won for us this season already – an impressive 12.
That’s joint top in the league with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Sadio Mane.

Tammy is actually very prolific too, and has always been a goalscorer. The fact that he’s scoring lots of goals – and important ones too – just goes to show the amazing potential he has.
He can still get so much better – but he’s already out there competing with the very best in the division.
