Chelsea beat Arsenal 2-1 yesterday at the Emirates, despite a shocking first half an hour of the game.
The Blues came out in a 343 and looked absolutely dire. Once Frank Lampard changed things to a back four, we rapidly improved.
Asked after the game whether he had messed up his initial selection, the Chelsea boss denied it was a tactical error, saying “I don’t think we got it wrong… what we were lacking was fight.”
He’s not wrong there. The tactical switch helped, but really it was about the team getting their heads into gear and turning things round.
