Jorginho was given a booking pretty sharpish after coming on for Chelsea against Arsenal, and that left him on a tightrope in the second half.
He stopped an Arsenal counter with a blatant foul, and should have seen red. The ref let him off – perhaps because he knew at this point that he’d let Matteo Guendouzi off for a similar offence in the first half, with the Frenchman also on a booking.
Interviewed after the game, the former Napoli midfielder denied he deserved a red – but he’s not exactly convincing.
The fact that he ended up scoring our equaliser just made it extra sweet.
You can see the clip here:
"It was not my fault. Contact in football is normal. It was a foul but no more I think."
Jorginho did not feel he deserved a second yellow card for a pull on Matteo Guendouzi.
