Willian was the hero of the game against Tottenham on Sunday, and so it’s no surprise that Sky were keen to get him interviewed in these last few days.
Kaveh Solhekol got the exclusive chat with the winger, broadcast on Sky Sports, and he tweeted some interesting snippets afterwards, revealing what had been said.
Interviewed Willian today. Says he’d stay at Chelsea until he’s 40 if he could. Loves Chelsea. Wants to stay. Talks with club about new deal ongoing. Rules out leaving in January. Out of contract in the summer.

We’ve known for some time that he wants to stay at Chelsea, and that he’s been pushing for a two year deal. But given there seems to be a total stalemate between him and the club, the possibility of selling him in January – while we still get a fee before his contract runs out this summer – looked possible.
He has now ruled that out himself, and all of the various Italian clubs he’d been linked with this season will have to look elsewhere for now.
They may be able to get him free in the summer, but they can forget any winter reinforcement from the former Anzhi man.
