Angel Gomes ‘agent has held talks’ with Chelsea, Blues ‘confident of signing’ him

There appears to be some momentum gathering around Chelsea’s reported interest in Manchester United attacking midfielder, Angel Gomes.

The 19-year old is out of contract with United at the end of June and as things stand, will be a free agent.

Negotiations over any new deal at the club have seemingly dropped off and Gomes has been free to speak with other clubs since January.

Chelsea are ready to pounce when he becomes a free agent and have already spoken to the England under-20 international’s agent regarding a move.

As a result, they are confident of signing him this summer.

This is according to The Daily Express Deputy Sports Editor, Luke Gardiner, who tweeted this yesterday…

Talks broke down with United after he rejected a new £30,000-a-week offer there, and they will now lose him on a free.

As of yet, their aren’t any other clubs being largely reported to have an interest in signing Gomes, giving Chelsea a free run.
