News emerged late last night that Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi was arrested after flouting UK lock down restrictions to meet up with a model, according to The Sun.
The reports were that the England international had a row with the female in question when meeting up with her at 4am on Sunday morning.
There has since yet to be any formal word from Chelsea, or from Hudson-Odoi’s camp.
But details are now emerging this lunchtime that the reason Hudson-Odoi was arrested was on suspicion of rape, according to The Daily Mail.
He had been bailed from Police custody and released yesterday pending further investigations.
As we await further details on this serious allegation, it is wise to reserve any judgements until something clear is released from Chelsea or from the Hudson-Odoi camp.
But this certainly isn’t a great situation at all for Chelsea, Hudson-Odoi’s camp, and anyone else involved in the alleged incident.
