Chelsea reportedly make enquiry for 6ft 2in French striker

Chelsea are continuing to be linked with a number of potential new strikers, emphasising that this is truly an area that Blues boss Frank Lampard will look to be improving this summer.

The type of striker they are after seems to differ, we can go from a versatile Dries Mertens-type who can play as a centre forward or a winger, and then to the new name on the block, 6ft 2in striker Serhou Guirassy.

The former France under-20 international has become the subject of enquiries from Chelsea, Tottenham, and West Ham, according to French publication Le10sport (as cited by The Metro).

His club Amiens are hopeful of recouping between £13 million and £17.5 million for the 24-year old former Lille and FC Koln front man, and West Ham currently leading the negotiations.

Lampard of course has Giroud if he wants to use a big man to look for up top, but his future is still unclear. So Guirassy could be seen as an alternative.
