Report: Chelsea make contact to sign £35.5m Algerian international winger

We have just been reporting on a story written by The Telegraph last night suggesting that Chelsea will be one of the few clubs still able to spend money during the summer transfer window.

Other clubs such as Arsenal and Tottenham will not be able to unless they sell players, due to the uncertain financial situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

They say that Chelsea will further increase their funds available by selling players as well.

So with that in mind, Chelsea have been linked with signing a number of players so far, and they have reportedly made contact to sign a winger.

According to French publication La Gazette du Fennec, Chelsea are looking to sign Brentford winger Said Benrahma, who is rated at £35.5 million by his club.

They claim that he has become a priority signing for Chelsea, and that Brentford should accept a slightly low fee than the quoted price.

24-year old Benrahma has been lighting up The Championship for the last couple of seasons and has made 3 appearances for Algeria.
