The two Chelsea midfielders who remain an important part of Lampard’s plans

There has been all sorts of speculation surrounding which players could be leaving Chelsea this summer, and who will be staying.

Both Jorginho and N’Golo Kante have been linked with possible moves away from the club, as per ESPN.

However, the same report states that neither of them are looking likely to leave Chelsea with both players remaining an important part of Blues boss Frank Lampard’s plans moving forward.

Kante is settled in London and appears to be happy at the club, and Jorginho was made vice-captain by Lampard this season.

The latter has been linked to rejoining former boss Maurizio Sarri at Juventus, with Miralem Pjanic being spoken about as part of a swap deal that the Italians could offer.

But Lampard does not have a particular interest in signing Pjanic, making that move even more unlikely.

Kante is largely thought to be Chelsea’s only real world class player in the squad currently and would surely walk into the majority of midfield’s around the globe.
