There was one crazy Carling Cup final where tensions boiled over, and Howard Webb was forced to hand out three red cards.
Cesc Fabregas was front and centre of the brawl – he made quite a habit of it. He was on the red side back then, and in a Tweet today he revealed that he actually missed that part of the game.
He got stuck in with Frank Lampard, and both managers ended up on the pitch in the end too. It was truly a defining moment for that era of the battle between the two clubs.
