The Kai Havertz transfer came out of nowhere in the spring, but still took months to get done, and it’s actually been a pretty tedious wait for Blues fans hoping to see the new man in training as soon as possible, with the new season just around the corner.
That won’t detract from the joy of seeing him sign though, and it was only seeing the pictures with your own two eyes of the German wonderkid with Frank Lampard that you started to appreciate that it’s all real.
In the pictures below, you can see all the shots from the big evening in West London embedded in a series of Tweets:
“I read very much messages from them (Chelsea fans) they write very often on my social media accounts so I saw it and I can’t wait to play in front of the fans”
– Kai Havertz
