Thaigo Silva would sign a contract extension at Chelsea tomorrow if it was offered

Yesterday reports surfaced that Chelsea centre back Thiago Silva had told his agents that he wanted to sign a contract extension at his new club already.

His current deal ends in the summer, but if Chelsea turn up at his door with a new extension offer tomorrow, he will sign it there and then according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Romano was speaking on the Here We Go Podcast today and he confirmed Silva’s desire to stay at Chelsea beyond the summer.

There aren’t any negotiations taking place at the moment and there needn’t be, with the summer still a long way off.

The way things are going at the moment though suggest that Lampard and the Chelsea board will be equally as keen to get him tied down for another year after the season ends, he’s been one of their best players so far this season.
