Porto guilty of “worst behaviour” that Chelsea staff can remember as details of post-matchbeef emerge

Chelsea may have lost the battle last night, but they certainly won the war.

Despite a 1-0 loss to a late wondergoal the Blues qualify for the semi finals, despite their opposition’s best efforts.

Porto fouled and dived their way through 180 minutes of dreadful football, and at the final whistle they still weren’t going quietly.

Their manager Serge Conceicao complained that Thomas Tuchel had insulted him at full time, a moment that appeared visible in the TV coverage of the game, but according to an extremely juicy Daily Telegraph report, it would have been well deserved.

Matt Law’s insider denies the charge against Tuchel, and instead points to a host of insults and dirty tricks tried by Porto. All this amounted to “some of the worst behaviour long-serving officials and staff members can remember facing at a game in Europe or in England.”

That’s good work considering some of the sides we’ve faced in that time.

Earlier this season the Portuguese side had clashed with Manchester City off the pitch too, lending some weight to the claims coming out of Chelsea.
