N’Golo Kante limps off injured in devastating first half for Chelsea

To add insult to injury (or should that be the other way round) in a devastating first half, N’Golo Kante has limped off hurt for Chelsea.

The Blues have had the best of the game against Leicester so far, showing far more attacking intent than they did in the FA Cup final at the weekend.

But some terrible bad luck has prevented them turning that dominance into a lead – from VAR to offside, it’s just not working out for us at the moment. An injury was the last thing we needed.

His replacement, Mateo Kovacic, has only just returned himself from injury, and will now have to play an unexpected 60 minutes now, as well as potentially this weekend. It might just be too much too soon for the Croatian.

Let’s hope Kante is back sooner rather than later – the race is on for the Champions League final in 11 days time.
