Chelsea bossed the game on Tuesday and there was a look in the eyes of the players that made you know they were winning this match.

According to The Athletic, a lot of that was due to the incident from Saturday that saw Leicester’s Daniel Amartey throwing a Chelsea pennant dismissively to the ground during Leicester City’s post-match celebrations.

They say this left Chelsea’s players ‘fired up’ before the game and ready to ‘punish’ Leicester for this incident.

An Athletic source says, “they were seething at the contemptuous gesture. It was the talk of the dressing room in the build-up.”

It is great to see such a reaction and togetherness from the players, and you felt the anger in a scuffle in Tuesday’s match where a few of the Chelsea players appeared to have some choice words aimed in Amartey’s direction.
