Chelsea are on the hunt for a new big name striker, and depending on who is reporting, their priority seems to change all the time and the pendulum is swinging.

It was always Erling Haaland named as the main priority until recently, when he looked unattainable this summer due to Dortmund getting Champions League qualification. So it was Romelu Lukaku who was then suggested to be in the lead due to being the most realistic target.
However, this is going to be an up and down story all the way through, with Sky Italy reporter Angelo Mangiante reporting that Haaland is the ‘main goal’ for Chelsea this summer.
ACMilan-Giroud (top free agent) will open talks in the next days.

As well as that, as pointed out by the Chelsea fan below, Haaland himself has seemed to change stance on his future a little in the space of days. These two interviews are both recent from him…

IMHO i believe the situation is even more complicated because Dortmund NEED to raise funds this Summer. They dont want to sell Haaland particularly bearing in mind they have qualified again for the CL. But they do need to sell which will likely see Sancho as the easier (if cheaper) option to go and raise the funds needed. Problem for Dortmund then is keeping Haaland happy without his pal and assist provider-in-chief, Sancho having moved on? The reality is where’s the ambition from Dortmund to have a real crack against not only Bayern but RB Leipzig and Moenchengladbach next term let alone some of Europe’s finest in non domestic Cup competitions?
Some reports are suggesting that Haaland is an Ambramovich favourite. He certainly fits the Roman profile of striker. Gudjonsen, Drogba, Costa. Big and burly and regular goalscoring machines.
My guess is and due to Haalands youthful age he wont be going anywhere this season but it really would not surprise me if RA goes all out to get Sancho in this Summer. Takes a flyer on Havertz, Werner and Tammy Abraham to cover the number 9 or false number 9 position next season. Then whats the betting RA returns NEXT Summer to bring in Haaland himself at a lower price than the 125/150m being bandied about now.
Whatever happens its certainly going to be another interesting Summer to be a Chelsea fan thats for sure. KTBFFH
