Timo Werner’s first season at Chelsea was particularly up and down.
The striker started brightly, went through a hellish period in the middle where he missed every chance that fell to him.
By the end, while still missing a few sitters, he was contributing well in a team that ended up winning the Champions League. That’s no mean feat.
Despite all that, the striker was linked with moves away from Chelsea, showing just how dodgy his middle spell was – or perhaps just showing how desperate people are to think up transfer rumours.
Despite rumours in England recently, Timo Werner has never considered leaving #Chelsea this summer and will stay to fight for his place. (@BILD_Sport)

Bild have today squashed all of those whispers, saying that Werner has “never considered” leaving Chelsea – and we can well believe that.
The club may have had their doubts about the forward at times, but selling at a low like this would be a bad idea in most situations – and we all know Werner is close to getting back on track.
