There’s always one Chelsea player who shines on loan despite being relatively unheralded, and there’s no doubt that Armando Broja was that man last season.
He scored ten goals Vitesse and came on leaps and bounds through the season. He now looks a really top prospect, with skill, speed and strength.
Chelsea board are working to finalize a long-term contract for talented young striker Armando Broja. He’s set to sign until June 2026. 🇦🇱 #CFC
He’s been on loan to Vitesse last season [10 goals] and from today Broja will be part of the 1st team at Chelsea in the pre-season.

No surprises then that we’re hearing today from Fabrizio Romano that the club are pushing to agree a new contract with the Albania international.
He says a new long term deal running to 2026 is on the table, as Broja rejoins first team preseason training.
We expect another loan this season, and if he does as well as he did last season, he could really be pushing for a first team place in a year’s time. If Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham leave this summer, perhaps he could even stick around at Stamford Bridge as a backup for this campaign.
