Chelsea are still prioritising a move to sign Erling Haaland from Dortmund this summer, however, any deal is proving to be very tough to complete.
Dortmund want to keep him, and it has been said it will take a ‘crazy offer’ from Chelsea to convince them to sell.
The Athletic have confirmed this morning that Chelsea do still desire to sign Haaland this summer, but they are also looking at other cheaper backup options, and they’ve put one new name on the table who has not been linked with us yet.
That is Stuttgart’s Sasa Kalajdzic, who impressed for Austria at the Euros this summer. Standing at 6ft 7in, he would certainly be a prescience up top for Chelsea, and they say that he is a name that Thomas Tuchel himself likes.
They confirm the club’s interest, but also throw Danny Ings’ name in the hat as a potential option, although they do not say whether Chelsea have a genuine interest in Ings as of yet and this one is more speculation.
