Bakayoko is a Milan priority as they look to bring midfielder back

Goal.com have their latest Chelsea transfer update online now, and while the focus is on Olivier Giroud’s impending move to AC Milan, the Italian club’s interest in another Blue is also mentioned.

Tiemoue Bakayoko spent a year on loan at Milan back in 2018, and they clearly liked what they saw. He was out of their price range for a permanent purchase at the time, and their constant churn of managers (along with a similar rotation at Chelsea) probably made striking a deal difficult, but now things are more settled on both ends it sounds like an agreement is more feasible.

Nizaar Kinsella says that there’s interest from Nice in the France midfielder, but that Baka is “high up Milan’s priority list.” If they want him, we’d imagine he’d favour a move there, considering he’s had a couple of years in Italy now and seems to like it.

On the other hand, after struggling abroad for years, maybe a move back to France is the way to go after all?
