Chelsea are reportedly looking to snap up the signing of a new goalkeeper as a free agent this summer.
As I exclusively reported first via my website Si & Dan Talk Chelsea at the start of July, Chelsea have been in talks with the reps of former Crystal Palace goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey regarding a potential summer move.
He has interest from other clubs as well and nothing has been decided yet, but The BBC have also picked up on the story and confirmed Chelsea’s interest, alongside Aston Villa, in potentially bringing the experienced Welsh international in as a third choice backup stopper for the coming season.
They confirm that he has parted ways with Palace so there will be no chance of an extension there, and he will now need to make his decision on where he would like to go next, with Chelsea very much in the frame.
