As we reported last week, Chelsea have been eyeing a new goalkeeper or two during this window, free agents in particular.
I wrote on Si & Dan Talk Chelsea exclusively last week of our talks to try and sign former Crystal Palace goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey as a third choice goalkeeper option now he has become a free agent.
If Chelsea do want to sign the experienced stopper this summer though, they may have some rivals in the shape of Burnley, according to The Daily Mail.
Both clubs are looking for a free agent goalkeeper to come in and bulk their squads, with Chelsea seemingly looking to pull off a similar deal that saw them bring in Rob Green as a backup a couple of seasons ago.
They have reached out to Hennessey’s people to gauge an interest, but there has been nothing advanced since then.
It remains to be seen whether the Welsh international fancies a try at a stop club, but with game time promises very few and far between.
