It is really quite normal for a player to perform well during a major international tournament and then get linked with a big move to some of the big sides.
This is exactly what has happened to Italian full back Leonardo Spinazzola.
The Roma man was certainly not be unheard of before the Euros, but his profile has very much grown in stature over the last few weeks after his fine performances in an Italian shirt helping to get his country to the Quarter Finals of the Euros.
So now the rumours begin, and Chelsea’s name has very much been thrown into the hat for Spinazzola.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Chelsea have been ‘impressed’ with his performances, and are ‘the more convincing club trying to have him’, as relayed by Sport Witness today.
They say that with the possibility of Chelsea selling both Emerson Palmieri and Marcos Alonso this summer, then there could be room for Spinazzola, and the interest is there.
