Christian Falk of Bild is known as an insider on all things to do with German football, and especially Bayern Munich.
But today he’s dropped a really tasty exclusive which has nothing Teutonic to do with it. In an explosive Tweet an hour ago, he claimed that Chelsea are chasing one of the breakout stars of the Euros, Federico Chiesa.
Chiesa had a great season and was clearly a rising star, but hadn’t been linked with the Blues at all until now.
Now Falk is saying Chelsea have made an enquiry about the winger, with an initial €100m on the table.
Juventus have turned them down, but it sounds like this is only the start. Whether this would be as an alternative to Erling Haaland, or potentially a star to play alongside him we’re not sure.
What we do know is that this summer is finally starting to spice up on the Chelsea transfer front…
