MilanNews in Italy are reporting on interesting developments in AC Milan’s midfield that could have serious implications for Chelsea’s summer.
They quote Sky Italia today, where it’s being reported that the Rossoneri have agreed a permanent deal to sign Sandro Tonali from Brescia.
The young talent was already on loan, but a permanent fee has now been agreed, with a lower than expected salary.
That opens up some funds for a potential move for another central midfielder – Chelsea’s Tiemoue Bakayoko. They call him the “favourite” to fill that spot in Lombardy, where he spent the season before last on loan.
It will hardly be a blockbuster deal, given the France international is in the last year of his contract, but it will get him off the books at Stamford Bridge, which can only be a good thing as Chelsea look to trim down their rather bloated squad at long last.
