Chelsea have reportedly ‘notified’ an England international centre back of their interest in signing him this summer, despite him looking close to going elsewhere.
Ben White is not with England at the Euros, but he was part of the preliminary squad before the competition and played a couple of games for Gareth Southgate.
A more pressing issue for him right now though is his immediate future, which looks to be away from Brighton.
The centre back has been heavily linked to joining Arsenal this summer, with some reports suggesting that is at an advanced stage.
Which is why it was odd to see Chelsea then linked with White, apparently notifying him of their interest, according to Duncan Castles on The Transfer Window Podcast.

If true, could it be enough to turn his head at the last minute and could Chelsea be about to hijack an Arsenal signing?
