It’s that time of year again, and it’s not going to stop until Erling Haaland moves clubs, or until this transfer window closes.
The clubs are briefing on both ends and sources like Sky Sports, quoting their colleagues in Germany, are the ones getting all the info now.
After we’d basically been told that £175m was the asking price for Erling Haaland, we’re now finding out that Chelsea’s strategy has been a little different – they’re offering cash plus players, but Dortmund aren’t interested.
Tammy Abraham and Callum Hudoson-Odoi were both apparently on the table, but Dortmund have turned their nose up at both.
We imagine there must have been a solid €100m on the table alongside those names too, but clearly it hasn’t been enough to tempt the Germans.
This is only the opening salvo in what looks set to be a long exchange though, so don’t despair just yet.
