Emerson will start for Italy tomorrow, whilst Roma step up their interest in him

Chelsea left back Emerson Palmieri has had a rather up and down time since arriving at Chelsea from Roma in 2018.

He has never really managed to nail down a regular spot at club level, but he has always been in the Italy squad and has often got the nod for his country.

Tomorrow he will start for them in the semi-final of the Euros against Spain, due to a very unfortunate injury to Leonardo Spinazzola.

But not only is Emerson playing for his country for a place in the final of the Euros, he is also playing for his future and has a chance to show potential suitors exactly what he can do.

Chelsea will also be hoping he puts in a good performance, because they are asking for 25m euros for him this summer, according to Sky Italy’s Angelo Mangiante.

And the club in contact and advancing to try and sign him? His former side, Roma!
