The first four players to report back for Chelsea preaseason

Football is coming home, and so Chelsea players after their (presumably pretty limited) summer holidays.

Those not in the Italy or England (or Brazil) squads are starting their gradual return to training this week, with the first three spotted at Cobham today – Tino Anjorin, Tammy Abraham and Callum Hudson-Odoi.

According to Sam Inkersole of Football.London, Marcos Alonso will join them later in the day.

Over the next few weeks we will see a gradual trickle of others coming back, and for obvious reasons it will be some time before we see the likes of Mason Mount and Jorginho back with the first team.

We have yet to see any pictures of manager Thomas Tuchel, but we’re sure he can’t wait to get his teeth into the new campaign.

As of yet there are no new signings to be added to the group. We expect that to change before too long.
