Jorginho has seemed very likely to leave Chelsea at times, including just last summer.
When Maurizio Sarri left the club three summers years ago, there were plenty of rumours that the midfielder would join the man who brought him to Chelsea in moving to Juventus.
That didn’t work out, but the midfielder’s agent kept up the impression that his client was always just a good bid away from moving back to Serie A.
Last summer, Frank Lampard’s big squad reshuffle also seemed like it could precipitate a sale in midfield – but in the end the signings were all in attacking areas, and Jorginho stayed again.
As Football.London point out, after a Champions League winning season under Thomas Tuchel however, and with a European Championship final (at the very least) under his belt, he’s looking increasingly like a key man for the Blues next season too.
Of course, that doesn’t mean we expect his agent to shut up…
