Premier League interest in Trevoh Chalobah starting to heat up

Brentford have joined the race to sign Trevoh Chalobah, according to the Express and Star today.

West Brom appear to have the lead in the race to snap up the talented Cobham academy product, but there’s a long way to go with plenty of rival sides now apparently moving into place.

Chalobah had a brilliant loan at Lorient in France’s Ligue 1 last season, convincing everyone that he’s got the talent to step up a level.

That would make Brentford, who earned promotion to the Premier League through the playoffs, a far more tempting destination than West Brom, who went back the other way.

There’s also something to be said for sticking with Lorient where he’s already settled and successful – but the temptation of a Premier League move will prove hard to resist if the Bees put together a proper offer.

Whatever happens, Trevoh has no shortage of options – he just needs to pick the right one.
