Thiago Silva has had quite the few months.
First he won the Champions League, then he got his Chelsea contract extended.
Now he’s off playing for Brazil in the Copa America, with a quarter final coming up tonight against Chile. Meanwhile, he’s just got the news that the thieves that robbed his home in Paris in 2018 have been jailed.
A group of 7 robbers took a reported £1m of watches and jewellery from the Brazilian, the Sun explains.
An organised group raided several celebrity houses before being arrested and now sentenced to prison time.
The Sun quote “chief accomplice” Abdelziz G. as shouting “I’ll break out of jail – and I’ll start robbing again!”
Fortunately for Thiago he’s now based in London, hopefully well out of reach of the gang or anyone related. Now he can hopefully return to focusing entirely on football, with at least one more year at Chelsea still to come.
