Edu Mendy arrived at Chelsea late last summer, and was starting Premier League games within days of getting off the plane.
He never looked troubled though, and played out an almost perfect season between the sticks.
He fitted into the squad nicely, looked confident and commanding at the back, and helped his team to a Champions League win. If his next campaign is half as good as this one, we’ll be happy.
