Chelsea confirm Tammy Abraham transfer to Roma

After a long week of speculation it’s finally happened – Tammy Abraham has left Chelsea on a permanent deal to join Roma.

The striker was a key player for a year and a half after returning to the Blues from a successful series of loans away, but under he barely featured under Thomas Tuchel, and the writing has seemed to be on the wall for his departure ever since the German coach arrived.

After 30 goals in 82 appearances, Abraham goes to Rome with a great record and the potential to return one day – there is apparently a “buy back” clause in his deal.

Tammy joined Chelsea as a 7 year old and has been a beloved figure around the club for years. Losing him will be very painful for the fans, even as they get excited for the return of Romelu Lukaku.

Good luck Tammy – there will be a lot of Chelsea fans tuning in to support Roma this season now.
