We absolutely love Thomas Tuchel’s post-match interviews. More than any manager we know, he likes to give in depth and analytical breakdowns of how games went, without patronising the audience or trying to keep things hidden.
You can see the Chelsea coach speaking in the clip embedded here after the win over Newcastle:
He talks about the players’ positioning, their mentality and their good and bad moments. It’s so preferable to the boring, anodyne, media trained answers that most coaches give.
We spend our lives following these teams, it’s nice not be talked down to by a coach who understands that we watch every match, just like him.
