Despite continuing to struggle for consistent form, and despite the endless rumours linking him away, Timo Werner will stay at Chelsea next summer, according to Sky Sports in Germany.
It’s the international break, so of course these stories come up all the time. The players are back in their home countries, new journalists have access to them, and they inevitably speak a little more freely when in their own first language.

This doesn’t seem to be based on any quotes however, just a report on German Sky that he doesn’t plan to leave next summer.
That’s as one might expect – he could well break into the team and score a load of goals before then. On the other hand, if he continues to struggle to get into the side for the rest of this campaign, we can easily imagine the club being willing to cut their losses by the end of this season.
