Chelsea are truly down to the bare bones today as they take on Wolves.
Waves of positive Covid tests have decimated the squad, and the fact that half the team is only freshly back from injury hasn’t helped either.
Glancing at the teamsheet today, it seemed likely that Jorginho, Andreas Christensen, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Kai Havertz were the players who had tested positive in the last 48 hours, given they are all out of the squad.
Tuchel confirms that Christensen is injured rather than Covid. He says 'Jorginho was sent home but he has a negative test'. (Note: I think he has had both positive and negative tests, similar to Havertz vs Everton). Also, Tuchel says some staff have tested positive at Chelsea.

But Thomas Tuchel’s chat to the Sky cameras before the game revealed that in fact, Andreas Christensen’s absence is injury releated.
We’re not sure whether that’s good or bad news – if he just misses today and is back training tomorrow it will mean a shorter absence than the mandatory 10 day Covid isolation.
However, if it ends up being a serious issue, we will be wishing he had just had a positive test like so many of his colleagues.
