Charly Musonda offers to play ‘for free’ in last ditch attempt to stay at Chelsea

The story of Charly Musonda has been unraveling this week after an emotional rollercoaster of a football career.

He has returned this year from an injury so serious that Doctors believed he would never play the game again.

It would be amazing if you guys subscribed for my project over at Si & Dan Talk Chelsea, where we are putting out so much Chelsea content including DAILY Newsletters, exclusive news, breaking news, Podcasts, interviews, inside information, and bringing in some massive guests!

But here he is, back training with the Chelsea U23s attempting to get his football career back on track. But it doesn’t look like that is going to be at Chelsea, with the winger confirming that he will be leaving at the end of the season after the club refused to renew his contract.

Musonda has been revealing on on The Beautiful Game Podcast this week, as shown below..

He says that he was in tears when Petr Cech called him to say they would not be keeping him at the club, but he also says that he offered to play for free for a season because he wanted to stay at the club so badly.

It really is a heartbreaking story for the poor guy.

  1. Please can the club give this young talent a second chance as he says he will play for free, we are short of players ask to include him into the team assess his progress before deciding his faith, loved his breakthrough season.

  2. That’s why I Don’t blame players if they want to move forward when they get a better offer as it’s total business.
