Just as we get back to almost our first XI, Chelsea are slammed back to injury hell.
N’Golo Kante started today, and we heard before the game that he was going to play 90 minutes – so it was a surprise to see him going off injured.
Soon after half time, we’d already seen Thiago Silva limp off with a twanged hamstring.
Fans have had their fingers crossed ever since, but Thomas Tuchel has since come out and confirmed our worst fears.
Tuchel confirms Kante (knee) and Silva (hamstring) went off with injuries. Says Kante was in a lot of pain and it's the same problem as the one he suffered v Juventus. Both unlikely to play v Brighton at the very least. More bad news for #CFC. #AVLCHE

Both are certainly out for Tuesday’s game, and we can expect potentially a few weeks for both.
The idea that Kante’s injury is as bad as the one he had against Juventus – which ruled him out for the best part of a month – is pretty devastating. Tuchel says that the midfielder is in a lot of pain, which sounds bad.
Thankfully Mateo Kovacic and Jorginho are fit now – but we’re not the same team without Kante, and everyone knows it.
