Chelsea’s game against Everton tonight looks like it will go ahead, despite the appearance of three positive Covid cases in the Chelsea camp.
Last night’s Burnley Watford game was postponed after an outbreak in the Hornets’ camp, and tonight’s Leicester – Tottenham game has just been called off in similar circumstances.

Even if our game tonight goes ahead, it seems inevitable that we’re closing in on some postponements or cancellations ourselves. The problem is that Chelsea have a more busy calendar than almost any other team in world football at the moment.
Every team is struggling to fit their games in, but Chelsea are in particularly dire straits. Thomas Tuchel’s team are in FIVE competitions at the moment, and if they play as well as they did last year, that will be the case for a while longer.
We simply don’t have a midweek slot available to play delayed games.
